Short Story ist ein Song über die Leichtigkeit von Schmerz, über Melancholie als Distanz- und Emanzipationserfahrung, als Freude an der Traurigkeit, als emotionaler Ausgangspunkt für das Voranschreiten und Weitergehen. Einfache, kraftvollen Akkordfolgen im Vers werden von schwebenden Klängen aufgefangen, eine Hookline baut sich langsam auf, um in einem einsamen Outro zu Enden.

Short Story is a song about the lightness of pain, about melancholy as an experience of distance and emancipation, as joy in sadness, as an emotional starting point for moving forward and moving on. Simple, powerful chord sequences in the verse are caught by floating sounds, a hookline slowly builds up to end in a lonely outro.
